There’s something truly special about witnessing a love story unfold first hand. I’ve known Veronica and Ioane for a few years now, and they are truly two of the kindest people I know. Watching their relationship grow has been one of those quiet joys that reminds me how special each love story is.

They first met unexpectedly. Veronica was working as a dental assistant when Ioane came into her office as a patient. What started as a simple appointment turned into conversations, then friendship, and eventually something much deeper. After taking some time to get to know one another, they began dating, and the rest is history.

It makes my heart genuinely happy when two good people find each other and build something strong. They’re steady, supportive, and deeply rooted in connection... a power couple in many ways.

When it was time to take their engagement photos, it was a time of year when the weather is unpredictable and often rainy. This is why having a local Washington photographer is so important! We decided to schedule their engagement session at an indoor location still surrounded with light and beautiful live plants.

Why Experience Matters More Than Perfection

After photographing many couples over the years, we’ve learned something important:

The very best photos happen when you feel totally at ease.

Not when you’re trying to impress.

Not when you’re worried about angles.

Not when you’re thinking about what you’ve seen on Pinterest.

Whether we’ve known each other for years or are meeting for the first time, the goal is always the same: to create an experience that feels calm. When you feel safe and comfortable, your story unfolds effortlessly in photos.

Looking Ahead to September

I’m so looking forward to capturing Veronica and Ioane’s wedding this September. It’s going to be a day full of deep meaning, laughter, and the kind of joy that lingers long after the celebration ends.

If you’re engaged and planning your own wedding, let this be your reminder:

Your love doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.

You don’t have to perform.

You don’t have to be “perfect.”

You just have to be present. And when you are, the rest falls into place.

If that’s the kind of experience you’re hoping for on your wedding day, we would love to walk alongside you and document your story.
