I'm a professional photographer based in Tacoma, Washington. I've been behind the camera for over 8 years and captured countless stories.

I've learned over the years that photography is so much more than pressing the shutter on a camera! You deserve a photo that captures a real-life memory and converts it to an image that will last forever. Why stop at a "good" photo when you can have an AMAZING one? Feeling out of place?
You might be new to professional photography and feel like the transition from saying "cheese!" behind a smartphone to posing like a model seems lightyears away. If so, then you're not alone! My goal is to make everyone feel comfortable. Don't believe me? Look through some pictures and try to figure out who was having pictures taken for the first time!
What does a photo session look like?
That depends on you! The bottom line is many photographers send a message to confirm a date and then meet you at their studio weeks later. This works well if the goal is efficiency and making money, but it does NOT lead to the picture-perfect moments that you want. With Victory Dawn Photography, I will schedule a call with you ahead of the shoot to discuss plans (location, clothes, time, etc.) and most importantly get to know you! That way when we meet in person for the first time, every second will be filled with taking the authentic and creative photos that you want! There will be a number of photos that I will individually plan out for what I think you will enjoy the most, but we will also have room to add other meaningful pictures that you have in mind. Want to jump in a lake? Awesome! Skateboarding in a wedding dress? So cool! I am here to make your vision come to life and of course offer any suggestions you may need along the way.
After the shoot, I always work hard to edit the pictures as soon as possible and get them returned to you so you aren't waiting weeks and months to see your finished photos!
